(HAHAHA.)  I can almost hear the ABS-CBN voice over say that line.  Yes, indeed.  Filipinos will continue to shine this Christmas.  Hands down to ABS-CBN again for coming up with a great Station ID for Christmas.  Last year's Bro, Ikaw Ang Star ng Pasko was a big hit.  And I'm glad that they included a few lines from that song in this year's song as well.  The lyrics and video of "Ngayong Pasko, Magniningning ang Pilipino" below.  Enjoy and Advance Merry Christmas everyone! Favorite TV Family

My favorite TV family for the moment has to be the Eppes family of NUMB3RS!  This series makes me wanna take up Applied Mathematics.  I just finish season 3.  And was so glad to find out that they are now on season 6!  That means more episodes to look forward to! But I couldn't believe that Colby Granger turned out to be a spy!  That was truly heartbreaking for the team.

Although I don't understand most of the theories and concepts presented in the show, I've always loved math. I'm a math geek.  I've always done well in it except maybe for Math 54 back in college.  I did very poorly on that subject that I can't even remember what the course title was. (^o^)/  Good thing there was Og Mandino to save us.  Our professor made us submit book reports on any of Og Mandino's work for extra points!

Although the suspense and action entertains me, what I find most endearing about the show are the family and social dynamics in the story.  I realized that I don't only watch these series because they entertain me but also because they allow me to live life vicariously.  I won't elaborate anymore because this blog has been COMPROMISED! hehehe (^o^)/

To give you a clue, this prime time TV drama back in 2002, shown in the picture below, also got me hooked for similar reasons.  However, with NUMB3RS, it had an added factor that really got me.

Diversity vs. Philippine All Stars

Was very happy to know that the dance group, Diversity, won this year's Britain's Got Talent!  The group really deserved it.  Providing pure entertainment through nice visual effects, synchronicity, and endless creativity.  Personally, I love their take on the Britain's Got Talent judges!  Watch these videos to see for yourself!

Do they stand a chance of winning against the Philippine All Stars?  For those of you not in the know, The Philippine All Stars won the 2008 World Hip Hop Competition.  I would love to see a dance off between the two groups (^o^)/

Wow! Just saw The Filipino Channel's (TFC) new station ID! It was launched just today, April 19, 2009, at ASAP '09, in celebration of TFC's 15th anniversary. Wittingly dubbed by Martin Nievera as the greatest invention since the Balikbayan box. I searched you-tube but the video is not yet available. Can't wait to get hold of the song's lyrics! Will be posting the video here if ever I find a copy. Watch out for it ^^

The theme song was sung by Charice and Billy Crawford. Here's what Sunstar wrote about it.

American Idol

American Idol TV Schedule

As a new year starts, everyone can look forward to American Idol!  The 2009 season is starting on January 14, 2009.  I just realized that I haven't been watching any Star World programs lately.  Well, that will change starting this week as I find Star World's TV schedule for American Idol the most accommodating, with a live telecast and reruns at 18:00, 20:00, and 23:00.  I remember a friend telling me once before that due to lack of interesting programs in other channels, he actually watched the show 3 times in one night! hehehe (^^;)

For those who don't have Star World, I think you can still catch the program in ABC 5.

"Bagong Simula" sa Bagong Taon

Bagong Simula is the official theme song of the BAYANIJUAN Foundation launched by ABS-CBN last June 12, 2008 (Independence day). The foundation "aspires to awaken the giving heart in every Filipino, and to encourage each one, to extend a helping hand so that every man, woman and child in the Philippines has a chance to make all of his or her dreams come true."

Wow! That is some vision. I will be supporting this foundation in the coming years. I hope you guys will do the same. "Walang Iwanan sa bayanijuan!"

I am simply in love with the foundation's name. "Bayanijuan" rhymes with "Bayanihan", more over, it can mean "bayan ni juan", and at the same time "bayani si juan" as well.

Kalye: Mga Kuwento ng Lansangan

A new program on ABS-CBN which I actually look forward to watching. It airs every Monday night after the late night news program "Bandila."

It is just so refreshing to see young people hosting the show. ^^
