It's been 2 weeks since the U.S. Open, the last grand slam tennis tournament of the year, started and I haven't posted a single blog about it. But I'm not too late! The finals haven't been played yet, thanks to a rain delay last Saturday that canceled all but Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic's semi-finals match! (Roger won in 4 sets.)
So Roger Federer's through to the finals and has been waiting for his opponent since Saturday. The other semi-finals match featured Rafael Nadal, now the no.1 seed, and Andy Murray, Britain's no. 1 player. Everyone must have been hoping for another Federer-Nadal rematch but Andy Murray had other plans!
Andy Murray, seeded sixth, beats Rafael Nadal in 4 sets (6-2 7-6(5) 4-6 6-4) !
(So hold those violent reactions with regards to the TITLE of this post. hehehe)
Tomorrow's finals will then feature Roger Federer (2) vs. Andy Murray (6). No, it's not going to be a Federer-Nadal rematch but it sure is a promising one considering how Murray played to beat Nadal today and the fact that he has beaten Federer twice in their last 3 meetings. Roger, on the otherhand, will be playing to win his 5th consecutive U.S. Open title! Go-Go Roger!

Although I'm disappointed that a Nadal-Federer rematch is not taking place, I'm a bit relieved that I don't have to do a live blog of the finals anymore. hehehe (^o^)/ (I don't think my schedule would permit me to do so anymore.)
The match will be aired Live at 5am (GMT+8 Philippines time) at Balls channel.
