Haven't Met You Yet

Have you been wondering what's that new catchy tune that's being played on Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) or for any other shows in ABS-CBN for that matter?  I'd hum it and write it here for you but I've always been musically challenged.  Instead, I have here the video of the song!  It's Michael Buble's latest song called Haven't Met You Yet.  And you can find this in his latest album Crazy Love.  Continue reading this post to watch the video ^^ Enjoy!

Haven't Met You Yet Lyrics

I'm Not Surprised
Not Everything Lasts
I've Broken My Heart So Many Times,
I Stop Keeping Track.
Talk Myself In
I Talk Myself Out
I Get All Worked Up
And Then I Let Myself Down.

I Tried So Very Hard Not To Loose It
I Came Up With A Million Excuses
I Thought I Thought Of Every Possibility

And I Know Someday That It'll All Turn Out
You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid That I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met You Yet

Mmmmm ....

I Might Have To Wait
I'll Never Give Up
I Guess It's Half Timing
And The Other Half's Luck
Wherever You Are
Whenever It's Right
You Come Out Of Nowhere And Into My Life

And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing
And Baby Your Love Is Gonna Change Me
And Now I Can See Every Possibility

Mmmmm ......

And Somehow I Know That It Will All Turn Out
And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met You Yet

They Say All's Fair
And In Love And War
But I Won't Need To Fight It
We'll Get It Right
And We'll Be United

And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing
And Being In Your Life Is Gonna Change Me
And Now I Can See Every Single Possibility

Mmmm .....

And Someday I Know It'll All Turn Out
And I'll Work To Work It Out
Promise You Kid I'll Give More Than I Get
Than I Get Than I Get Than I Get

Oh You Know It'll All Turn Out
And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid To Give So Much More Than I Get
Yeah I Just Haven't Met You Yet

I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Oh Promise You Kid
To Give So Much More Than I Get

I Said Love Love Love Love Love Love Love .....
I Just Haven't Met You Yet

Starstruck - Celebrity Meet and Greet

Oh wow! I met Philippine actor Cesar Montano at the mall today! He was so friendly. Not only did we talk - although I did most of the talking, he also allowed me to hug him while we had our pictures taken together. But wait! Just when I thought I couldn't be this lucky, he even gave me money! woohoo! Must be because he is running for governor in the coming May 2010 elections.

I know it's hard to believe. Therefore, to erase all doubts, I'm sharing the picture we took together. Then don't forget to continue reading this post to see the exact amount I got from him.

To be exact I was suppose to receive Php 5,032.98 which is the peso equivalent of $109.42 USD. They were so kind that they gave me Php 5033 instead. The lady that gave the money even said to "keep the change." (^o^)/

Well, this was really hard earned money because I waited 6 months to get it.! It's my second payment from Google! I was happy to know that I was still be able to reach the $100 dollar mark even though I was only able to post only 1 article per month, on the average, these past couple of months. It seems like once you've established your database of articles, the money will just keep coming in so long as you update your site once in a while. I guess this is the way to earn passive income and make money online.

The actor endorses Western Union - where all my Google payments go. (^o^)/ Anybody fooled by the first pic? Well, it's not a total waste of your time because the first 5 people to see me and say to me "I saw you with Cesar Montano." gets treated to dinner and a movie! That is if you can find me hehehe (^o^)/

Lo Vivo Per Lei

Lo Vivo Per Lei!

Italian is such a romantic language.  Just listen to these songs and tell me if these don't touch your heart. hahaha (^o^)/  Click "Continue Reading" below to listen to the songs and learn what the title means.

I found these Italian kids on the internet.  Watch out for Gianluca Ginoble!  He might just turn out to be the next Andrea Bocelli.  Here he is singing "Vivo per lei" (I live for you) and "Mi Sono Innamorato di te" (I fell in love with you).

How was that? You might wonder how I ran into these kids.  Here's the answer.

Wow! What a year she's having!  m(_ _)m bow!  Look for her cover of the song "Listen" (in youtube) when she appeared on the  Italian program called "Ti Lascio Una Canzone" (I Leave You a Song).  It was worth listening to.

Translations where provided by Google Translate :)

After his stint in the competition, the 3 teenage tenors in the competition formed Il Volo which means "flight" in Italian. Signifying how they want their careers to prosper into new heights!
You can buy their album at a very cheap price here.

History in the Making?

Today, presidential candidate Mar Roxas announced his support for Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III for president in the May 2010 elections! Could this be just for shows or is this history in the making?

Undoubtedly, Noynoy is the only potential candidate who can unite most of the opposition.  Other presidential and vice-presidential aspirants have already expressed their support for Noynoy if indeed he decides to run for the presidency.  That's the catch, he hasn't decided yet!

Personally, his indecision is quite a turn off.  Now that there's a new face in the line up,  the next survey results would really be very interesting.  Imagine if Noynoy would get a rating even lower than that of Mar.  What next?

Another point to consider is what Senator Kiko Pangilinan is talking about.  If indeed Noynoy is successful in uniting the opposition behind him, I hope he does so without incurring indebtedness to all these power-hungry politicians.  If he does it the traditional way then if ever he does become the next president, the first couple of years would only be spent repaying all these debts.  How then can we have CHANGE.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens in the months to come.

Lastly, I think I would have voted for Mar Roxas.  Don't forget to Register and vote! Check out this page by crazydigger if you need help on how to register to be able to vote.

The Federers!

The drought is over! I'm back (mind, body, and spirit!)

For the past month, I haven't seen any tennis action or heard any tennis news!  I can't believe it took me a month to find out that Mirka Federer already gave birth to twins!  This blog welcomes Charlene Riva Federer and Myla Rose Federer to this world! Read on to see the picture of the Federers. ^^

Roger Federer posted this photo in his Facebook.  It came with the following note:

As promised, here is a family picture that my dad took. He thinks he's becoming a professional photographer.
It was very funny as both girls had the hiccups while we were trying to take a decent picture. The girls and mom are doing great. Thanks for all your warm wishes.
 Congratulations Roger!

On other tennis news, the last grand slam of the year is finally here!  Catch the US Open Tennis Championships 2009 at the Balls Channel.  I just saw Kim Clijsters advance to the 2nd round with a convincing 6-1 6-1 victory! Go Kim!

Roger Federer will be up next.  Go Roger!  In two weeks time, these guys will have to make another video ... geez.  (Watch the video)

Long Live the Fearless Man

Before I forget, check out this video "Long Live the Fearless Man" and vote!  It's the lone Filipino finalist in the Democracy Video Challenge in YouTube.  I heard about this first at Mornings@ANC.  That's my routine now.  I watch the program every morning and follow news about the Philippine stock market.  I've followed PLDT's shares rise from 1880 pesos a share to 2,300 pesos in just a couple of months!  Too bad I sold my shares too early but still, I managed to earn a lot. (^o^)/  I think I'm gonna try stock trading for a living.  It's quite fun.

Here's the video.

To vote, go to http://www.youtube.com/user/DemocracyChallenge and then click on the "Vote" tab.  All the videos of the finalists will be shown.  Click on "Next Video" until the entry from the Philippines is shown.  Watch the video and give it your "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" by clicking the icon with the thumb sign.  I already voted last week.  Support a fellow kababayan and vote now. (^o^)/

Senate Hearing on the Hayden Kho Scandal

Breaking News!

Today marked the start of the Senate Hearing on the Hayden Kho Scandal.  The hearing is as dramatic as it promises.  After only a few minutes of watching the news, a policeman wearing a press ID poured a bottle of water over Hayden Kho just as Katrina Halili was entering the room.  The said policeman said that he just went crazy and decided to do that.  Wow!
Orchestrated? Maybe.  Hayden Kho requested for a private session while Katrina Halili on the otherhand, wants a public session.

Hayden Kho, under oath, blamed Katrina Halili to introducing him to taking drugs.  In his own words,  he said that their relationship was mostly "drugs and sex, drugs and sex."  Katrina Halili strongly refutes his statements and said under oath as well that she does not and have not taken drugs.

-->

I think for the first time in Philippine history, due to the gravity of the other allegations, a sexy actress admitted to having liposuction without any hesitation.  (*very interesting*)

Dr. Vicky Belo, although not present during the hearing, was represented by his attorney.  She prepared a sworn statement which was read at the hearing.  Although people have not noticed it yet, in her sworn statement she said that she ordered Eric Chua and Bistek Rosario, two of Hayden's friends, to retrieve the computers from Hayden's apartment and search for a sex video between her and Hayden.  Upon knowing that the computer was password protected, Eric volunteered to hire a computer expert to hack the computer and retrieve the file.  She then said in her statement that she left the two to do their thing and that later on Eric found her and gave her a DVD copy of not only a sex video of her and Hayden but also of Hayden and all of his girls.  She then said that she "destroyed" the said DVD and hard drive.

As to how the DVD and hard drive was destroyed was not elaborated!  If she simply threw them away ... ay naku.

I wonder why it wasn't elaborated.  Could they be deliberately leaving loopholes so as that no one will be able to pinpoint how the videos were leaked?
Hayden Kho has just admitted to taking the videos, taking drugs, and buying drugs on his own will! He  may think that being sorry and portraying to be a victim in this whole incident as well will save his ass!  I think he's dead meat! ^^

Anyway, is anybody searching for the Dr. Vicky Belo - Hayden Kho Sex Video? Well, I don't have it and I'm not interested.

In the meantime. Hayden Kho has just revealed the existence of a fourth video with Katrina Halili!  I only have three!  Where's the 4th Hayden Kho - Katrina Halili Sex Video Scandal?!

I don't want it as well.  Let's respect women.  (Most of my readers are women kasi hehehe ^^).

Electric Jeepneys | Electric Transportation

Could this be the future of Philippine Jeepneys? What will happen to SARAO Motors? ^^ As global warming starts to take its toll, the advent of electric cars is a nice welcome. However, I really don't wan't the Philippines' iconic jeepneys to disappear. Will there come a time that traditional jeepneys will only be seen inside museums?

These e-Jeepneys were first seen coasting along Ayala Avenue in Makati. Read the article here.

Before these e-Jeepneys in Makati, electric tricycles were actually deployed first in the city of Davao. The city government made the electric transportation available to the public during a recent transportation strike. Here are some more pictures of electric tricycles and jeepneys.

Doubting Kris Allen: The new American Idol Winner

The American Idol 2009 winner is Kris Allen! My predictions were right and I am happy. But what is with America and all this vote naming. People are saying, probably mostly Adam Lambert fans, that Kris Allen's votes are from Christian votes / Anti-Gay votes / Gokey votes and so on. Even the Philippine Daily Inquirer article today considered the so called "Danny Gokey factor" and quoted Paula Adbul as saying "After the third one leaves, you wonder where do the votes go from that third contestant."

People seem to be forgetting the fact that voting is not compulsory! After all, voting is not free. It comes with a price (both time and money). I would think that people would only vote if they truly like the person. Why spend money on someone you don't like, right? If America is saying that American society will spend money and vote just to deliberately destroy the chances of another, well ... I don't think I really have anything further to say about that.

I think Kris Allen and Adam Lambert are two totally different artists. I believe both would excel in their own genres. Presenting them in front of a nation and asking people to vote on whom they like better is like asking people to choose between Kiss and Michael Jackson (forgive me for my analogies, I'm not very adept with music, I was gonna write Kiss and Britney Spears at first hehehe ^^). Eventually, one would immerge as a winner, but it doesn't mean that the other is less of an artist as the winner.

Kris Allen is the American Idol for 2009. He deserves to win. No doubt in my mind about it.

-0-

Although I wasn't able to follow the season in this video, it still remains as the most memorable American idol winning moment for me.

American Idol 2009 Results

In a few hours time, the American Idol results will be out and the whole world will find out who will be competing on the American Idol Finale next week. Like the previous season, we will be seeing two boys in the finals again. I personally would have liked to see Allirson Iraheta in the finals. Unfortunately, she was voted off last week.

Everyone is excited to see who the American Idol Top 2 will be! And everyone has there own opinion on the matter. Although I watch the show, I really don't care that much, but everyone who's into internet marketing knows that "american idol" and its stars are way up there in the items most searched for in the internet. And so, I write. Here are my reviews on the Top 3 and who I think will make it to the Finals!

Adam Lambert. The "Rock God" of season 8. I don't think any true rock artist has been in American Idol Finals ever. This just goes to show that not a lot of Americans are into this kind of music. But there will always be a first for everything and Adam Lambert will be that first. The most consistent contestant this year and one of the best performers out there. See you in the finals Adam!

Danny Gokey. What can I say? I still wonder how he's made it this far. I would have chosen Allison or Matt Giraud over him! His singing just seems so effortful. I guess good looks does have its advantages. However, I don't think it will be enough to put him in the finals. The last and only song I'll remember from him is his rendition of "You are so beautiful." Now, that was beautiful. If only he sang that way every week. Goodbye Danny!

Kris Allen. By now you would have figured out that I'm voting for Kris to the American Idol Finals! Yes! He definitely deserves to be there. The only way for the finals to be competitive is for him to battle it out with Adam. Danny doesn't stand a chance against Adam. Kris Allen's acoustic style is so pleasing to the ears. Every Filipino would love him. I'm sure his album would sell better than Adam's here in the Philippines. If he wins, Paolo Santos, Nyoy Volante, Jimmy Bondoc and all other Filipino acoustic singers would be pleased for sure.

There goes my picks. Who are your American idol picks? If you don't agree with me, better change your bets right now. If you have heard me sing, you will certainly agree with me. Yes! You will agree that authority is what I don't have as I am musically challenged. hehehe (^o^)v

See you at the American Idol Finale next week! As for my fearless forecast, I believe Kris Allen will the the American Idol 2009 winner!

Job Fair: Job-a-palooza

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) orgazized a nationwide job fair in time for Labor Day (May 1) and called it Jobapalooza. DOLE promised a lot of job opportunities for everyone.

A lot of job seekers came! Unfortunately, due to the high turnout and long lines, a lot were not accommodated. In Davao, if I remember correctly, the job fair will run until May 3. Therefore, there's still time for all of you out there still seeking for a job. Don't give up! (Should I include myself in this group already? hehehe ^^) Among the lucky ones who were accommodated, some were hired on the spot while others even got job placements abroad.

The picture above shows the lines of job seekers at Gaisano Mall Davao on May 1, 2009.

Or the next time you apply for a job, consider bringing your friends along. Just watch this video ^^

Miss Philippines Earth

Have you ever been to a beauty contest?

My cousin got complementary tickets for the Miss Philippines Earth Cultural Night last week. When he invited us, he only said that it was Miss Earth. A totally different pageant all along as the Miss Philippines Earth is only the Philippines’ selection process for the international pageant that is, Miss Earth. Anyway, we went anticipating to be surrounded by beautiful ladies all night long!

The cultural night turned out to be the pre-pageant judging for the national costumes! Although the costumes were not as skimpy as we hoped them to be, it was exciting to see the artistry of each costume and the “gimik” of each contestant. One contestant came out in a huge gown and headdress covered with masks, literally bumping contestants out of the way during the presentation. She also brought with her a stick which she used to stomp the floor twice to grab attention. Unfortunately, on one incident, she almost slipped on stage because of the stomping. (^o^)v Another contestant brought party poppers on stage and set them off with a loud bang before introducing the municipality where she came from. One girl turned the evening into a semi-talent night by dancing her tribe’s native dance after presenting herself. Another girl came dressed as a peacock! What made it extra interesting was that she can drop the tail and raise it on demand, just like a true peacock! (However, next time she should take note that only male peacocks have glamorous tails hehehe ^^). The crowd went aaaahhh when she turned around and on her tail was written “Save the Earth.”

Another thing to look forward to in beauty contests is the blunders of each contestant! Contestant no. 1 totally forgot to introduce herself! Imagine that. She didn’t let this put her off though as she went to the mic to introduce herself just before her batch of contestants were set to leave the stage. And there is of course, the regular problem of girls trying their hardest to speak in English to impress the judges. The majority of this year’s contestants however, turned out exceptionally good in public speaking. Could this be a result of the call center boom?

The night ended with a single contestant winning both RCBC’s e-Woman award and the Best in National Costume award. Immediately, we thought “luto!” (rigged-results). The girl turned out to be the Bb. Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) contestant who was disqualified because of appearing in a men’s magazine (FHM). To her defense, she’s really pretty. She also sounded and looked very elegant on stage. Adding to that is the extra drama she put to her presentation when at first she covered her face with a glamorized feather duster and slowly revealed her beautiful face while walking up stage. However, we still think that others may have been more deserving of the Best in National Costume award. Never mind the RCBC e-Woman award. Hehehe (^o^)v

ABS-CBN caught everything on tape! Here's the TV Patrol report from Mario Dumawal. Too bad we didn't see Ginger Conehero!

Dahil Tayo'y Filipino (Pilipino)

Dahil Tayo'y Filipino

Wow! Just saw The Filipino Channel's (TFC) new station ID! It was launched just today, April 19, 2009, at ASAP '09, in celebration of TFC's 15th anniversary. Wittingly dubbed by Martin Nievera as the greatest invention since the Balikbayan box. I searched you-tube but the video is not yet available. Can't wait to get hold of the song's lyrics! Will be posting the video here if ever I find a copy. Watch out for it ^^

The theme song was sung by Charice and Billy Crawford. Here's what Sunstar wrote about it.

"Charice's ethereal ballad and Billy's hip-hop style blend to embolden in every Filipino overseas his determination, resiliency, and courage through difficult times.

ABS-CBN Global dedicates TFC's new station ID to the Global Pinoys as part of its mission to empower and rekindle national pride in them.

It underscores its commitment of providing the most innovative products and services to bring Pinoys overseas closer to home, making every kababayan also a kapamilya."

-0-

Personally, I'm very happy that a lot more groups are pushing for patriotism and national pride! And that is why I love the Kapamilya Network more. ^^
