Ayala Triangle Christmas Lights and Sound Show Video 2012

Ayala Triangle Lights, Laser, and Sound Show 2012 features colorful and moving Orbs.

The Ayala Triangle Gardens' Laser and Lights Show has become an attraction worth anticipating every Christmas season.  Last year, Ayala Triangle used inflatable stars in different colors as highlights.  This year, they used moving orbs as theme.

The show is definitely worth visiting.  It's great for the whole family.  Kids would surely love the experience.  Not only are the movements and the lights in sync with the music, the show also uses fog machines and laser lights!  Best of all, it's for FREE!

The show runs for about 7 minutes with a few minutes after allotted for everyone's favorite activity - picture taking!  It'll run from November 16 - December 30, 2012 every 30 minutes from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.

For all my friends who can't visit the place this Christmas season, here's the 9:00pm show showcasing Filipino Christmas Songs!

Hooray for Today!

Hooray for mornings and things that make them good
Hooray for beaming smiles that make my day
Hooray for stops and gos
Hooray for colors and quick hellos
Hooray for surprises that walk my way
Hooray for friends I'll make, oh hey ... hey!
Hooray for treats that make me smile,
Like magic stripes that fill the sky
Hooray for days that make me say,
Oh Hooray for Today!

Did you like this little poem? Doesn't it just encourage you to say out loud "hooray!"? Wait 'til you hear the whole song and see the video. ;-)

Showing a little Vulnerability is Beneficial

I came across this video, a TEDx talk by Brene Brown called "The Power of Vulnerability".  First and foremost, I'd like to acknowledge the person who found it first, The Faceless Trader!  To you, I say, thank you.

This video reminded me of why I started blogging.  In my first ever blog post (Multiply.com), I wrote:

Pilipinas, Tara Na! Campaign

Ang bawat Pilipino ay hinihikayat na makibahagi sa pagpapaunlad ng turismo ng bansa.  Huwag maging dayuhan sa sariling bayan! Pilipinas, Tara Na!
The battle cry of the new Department of Tourism campaign encouraging every Filipino to contribute in the promotion of tourism in the Philippines.  Aside from helping promote the Philippines as a tourism destination to foreigners, every Filipino can also contribute by visiting the unique and different cities - spread all over the 7,107 islands of the Philippines - ourselves.

Here's the new version of the Tara na, Byahe Tayo! video.  Enjoy!

Since it's virtually impossible to incorporate all the beauty that the Philippines has to share in one song, the organizers have decided to make 3 versions!  This is the first version.  I can't wait for the next two! Continue reading this article to see the old version and the new lyrics.

Il Volo: Taking Flight!

Back in 2009, I featured Gianluca Ginoble in a blog post.  Back then, he was just one of the contestants in an Italian singing contest.  Now, joining two other impressive tenors from the same contest, Pierre Barone and Ignazio Boschetto, together they formed the trio called Il Volo!

Here they are singing O Sole Mio at their guest appearance in American Idol.

"il Volo" means "flight" in Italian.  Let us help these kids' careers take flight by supporting their music and buying their album.  You can get it here for a cheap price.

Forever Young

Quite a unique ad that simply captured the expression on my mind for some time now, that I just had to post it here so I can easily go back to it in time, if I want to.  Unlike status updates in Facebook, blog posts are easier to find, read, and relive.  That's one reason why I don't think I'll ever give up this blog.

The quote I've been thinking about was "There's no need to rush.  You and I will be young forever."

Sulic and Hauser - The 2Cellos

With names like Sulic and Hauser they're almost guaranteed a spot in the music industry!  Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, two Croatians who make up the Cello duet group called 2CELLO.  Saw these guys first at The Ellen Degeneres Show.  As their official website puts it, their "passionate, duelling cellos version" of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal", made it big in YouTube, which in turn did not fail to catch the TV host's attention.

Here's another round of great music for all of us! Just get pass the bad bar-fight acting and enjoy the music! (All and more after the jump)

Milestone: First All-Video AVP

For the first time, I included only videos I took in the Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) and made a conscious effort not to include pictures of the event.  Keeping my hands steady without a tripod was a challenge! But definitely, using a tripod would have gotten in the way as well as we didn't really do any rehearsals and the videos were shot without any direction.  Investing in a better video camera or better yet, asking somebody to bring a light source to illuminate the event would have been helpful.  I'm very happy with the outcome though considering that I only used my Lumix LX5 to do all these!  And my editing software, Sony Vegas Movie Studio - Platinum edition, can definitely do wonders!  Check the video after the jump. It's not about the Money

Time for some music videos. ^^  The first time I heard of this song was when one friend wrote part of the lyrics on her status page and then eventually tagging me in the video as well.  It didn't capture my attention back then.  Today though, somehow, I felt like posting it here.  Enjoy Jessie J's Price Tag featuring B.O.B.

Price Tag Lyrics
by Jessie J featuring B.O.B

[Jessie J]

Seems like everybody’s got a price,

I wonder how they sleep at night.

When the tale comes first,

And the truth comes second,

Just stop, for a minute and

Smile

Why is everybody so serious!

Acting so damn mysterious

You got your shades on your eyes

And your heels so high

That you can’t even have a good time.

[Pre-chorus]

Everybody look to their left (yeah)

Everybody look to their right (ha)

Can you feel that (yeah)

Well pay them with love tonight…

[Chorus]

It’s not about the money, money, money

We don’t need your money, money, money

We just wanna make the world dance,

Forget about the Price Tag

Ain’t about the (ha) Ka-Ching Ka-Ching.

Ain’t about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling

Wanna make the world dance,

Forget about the Price Tag.

[Jessie J]

We need to take it back in time,

When music made us all UNITE!

And it wasn’t low blows and video Hoes,

Am I the only one gettin… tired?

Why is everybody so obsessed?

Money can’t buy us happiness

Can we all slow down and enjoy right now

Guarantee we’ll be feelin

All right.

[Pre-chorus]

Everybody look to their left (yeah)

Everybody look to their right (ha)

Can you feel that (yeah)

Well pay them with love tonight…

[Chorus]

[B.o.B]

Yeah yeah

well, keep the price tag

and take the cash back

just give me six streams and a half stack

and you can keep the cars

leave me the garage

and all I..

yes all I need are keys and garage

and guess what, in 30 seconds I’m leaving to Mars

yes we leaving across these undefeatable odds

its like this man, you can’t put a price on life

we do this for the love so we fight and sacrifice everynight

so we ain’t gon stumble and fall never

waiting to see, a sign of defeat uh uh

so we gon keep everyone moving there feet

so bring back the beat and everybody sing

it’s not about…

[Chorus x2]

[Jessie J - Outro]

Yeah yeah

oo-oooh

forget about the price tag

Also prepared something a little extra for today!  Maroon 5's Never Gonna Leave this Bed .  Watch out for THE VOYAGE, Kenneth Cobonpue's signature bed.  In his interview in Bottomline, he said something like not yet getting there because not that many Filipinos still know about him.  So I'm just trying to help him out, I guess.  The bed is a definite work of art.  The bed is viewed best outdoors where the sun can shine through its structure and produce interesting patterns.  (^o^)/ Congrats Kenneth!
