Finally, a Brownies recipe I can be proud of! Prepared this one for my guakong's death anniversary. There must have been divine intervention as I've never perfected this recipe before with my brownies turning out at one time too cake-like, or chokingly moist, or sometimes even burnt. My uncles, aunties, and cousins loved it. I hope the people you serve it to will feel happy when they eat it. (^o^)/

Super Fudgy Brownies
Ingredients:
8 tbspn unsalted butter (1 stick)
1 cup All purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tspn baking powder
1/2 tspn salt
8 ounces chocolate (semisweet or bittersweet) (around 227 grams)
1 cup (brown) Sugar
3 eggs
1 tbspn espresso powder
walnuts and chocolate squares (your own preference)
Procedure:
- Preheat oven to 350 F or 180 C. Grease line and grease 11" x 9" baking pan.
- Whisk dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and espresso powder. Set aside.
- In another bowl, melt butter and chocolate until smooth. Add sugar. Add eggs one at a time.
- Add flour mixture and mix until flour is no longer visible. Do not over mix. Add the flour in batches. Do not add everything in one pour.
- Fold in toppings (coarsely chopped walnuts and chocolate squares).
- Transfer to baking pan and bake until tester inserted in the middle comes out with a few moist crumbs attached to it. (Time will depend on the type of oven and baking pan you are using. For someone using a small oven like me, it will be approximately around 20 minutes. For large ovens, I think it will be around 50-60 minutes.)
sarap naman! we have the same oven di ba? yung sken kasi yung top crust nya crumbles when i slice it. I think sobra tigas :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm, a man with culinary skills! Impressive! I want to try on that recipe soon!

ReplyDeleteyup, we have the same oven ^^ To prevent that problem, put a cover on top of your baking pan. you can use an aluminum foil or to save you can use the baking tray and put in on the top rack para hindi direct ang heat sa brownies mo. Yan yung nagkocause ng pagkasunog. Pero remember to take the cover midway (after 10 mins.) para naman medyo crispy konti ang top portion ^^
@grace
Let me know how it turns out k? ^^
So that I can improve the recipe ^^
I took lessons here in davao kasi yan yung frustrations ko when I was living alone in japan and cebu! Hirap mabuhay mag-isa when you don't know how to cook. Puro ka obento or kain sa labas. ^^
