Mission Accomplished!

Wondering what this is? Continue reading it to know the story.

This is my pin collection.  I've been collecting them since I started traveling.  I started with key chains though, as those are more common to find.  Some of these I bought while on a trip, some were given by family and friends, some are rare finds from my parents' old table drawers, while some are marks of achievements and accomplishments.

Up until this week, these have been hiding in the dark, inside an old shoe box.  I never really knew how I should display them until I found this thick picture frame.  I didn't just want to pin them on canvas and display them because doing so will expose them to dust and they could fall off and be lost forever.

I am happy that I am finally able to display them.  But sad as well, as I can't help but notice that some of the pins are missing!  I wonder what happened to them.  Especially my Coca-Cola World Cup pin collection.  If you look at the picture closely, you can see 4 pins forming a Coca-Cola bottle shape in the middle section.  Although these seem to fit, the 3rd piece from the top is actually the same that of the 2nd piece but only with a different picture on it.  I remember painstakingly buying Coke every time I came back from work back in Japan.  I knew I was able to complete 1 bottle set and almost complete a 2nd one as well!  But now, I can't find the rest ...  This makes me feel a bit sad because these pins have traveled a long way from Japan to Manila to Cebu and now in Davao.  If I had  at least one complete set, that would have been enough but now I know I'll always wonder what happened to that 3rd piece.

Well, I guess that's life.  We try so hard to hold on to and keep things that are valuable to us hidden inside a box, where we think it's safe but where it's value can't be fully appreciated.  And then life happens.  And before we know it, we lose the chance to live life and appreciate whatever we have.

Now that this frame is done, I look forward to adding more pins from my future travels!  And I hope to be able to come up with a new one in a few years time.  Not to forget, the other shoe box full of key chains! What should I do with those?! (^o^)/

Haven't Met You Yet

Have you been wondering what's that new catchy tune that's being played on Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) or for any other shows in ABS-CBN for that matter?  I'd hum it and write it here for you but I've always been musically challenged.  Instead, I have here the video of the song!  It's Michael Buble's latest song called Haven't Met You Yet.  And you can find this in his latest album Crazy Love.  Continue reading this post to watch the video ^^ Enjoy!

Haven't Met You Yet Lyrics

I'm Not Surprised
Not Everything Lasts
I've Broken My Heart So Many Times,
I Stop Keeping Track.
Talk Myself In
I Talk Myself Out
I Get All Worked Up
And Then I Let Myself Down.

I Tried So Very Hard Not To Loose It
I Came Up With A Million Excuses
I Thought I Thought Of Every Possibility

And I Know Someday That It'll All Turn Out
You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid That I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met You Yet

Mmmmm ....

I Might Have To Wait
I'll Never Give Up
I Guess It's Half Timing
And The Other Half's Luck
Wherever You Are
Whenever It's Right
You Come Out Of Nowhere And Into My Life

And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing
And Baby Your Love Is Gonna Change Me
And Now I Can See Every Possibility

Mmmmm ......

And Somehow I Know That It Will All Turn Out
And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid I'll Give So Much More Than I Get
I Just Haven't Met You Yet

They Say All's Fair
And In Love And War
But I Won't Need To Fight It
We'll Get It Right
And We'll Be United

And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing
And Being In Your Life Is Gonna Change Me
And Now I Can See Every Single Possibility

Mmmm .....

And Someday I Know It'll All Turn Out
And I'll Work To Work It Out
Promise You Kid I'll Give More Than I Get
Than I Get Than I Get Than I Get

Oh You Know It'll All Turn Out
And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out
And I Promise You Kid To Give So Much More Than I Get
Yeah I Just Haven't Met You Yet

I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Oh Promise You Kid
To Give So Much More Than I Get

I Said Love Love Love Love Love Love Love .....
I Just Haven't Met You Yet

The Ride of Your Life

I've seen this book for quite sometime now.  And the catch phrase "The Japanese Bestselling Phenomenon" on the book's cover, even made me more interested.  I can't help but be fascinated with anything Japanese! (^0^)/ And so, I finally got myself a copy last week.  The book is called Kokology.  The title was coined from the Japanese word kokoro, which means "heart, spirit, feelings" and the Greek word logia which means "study".  In simple terms therefore, it is the study of your heart and soul.  The authors, Tadahiko Nagao and Isamu Saito, defines it as "a series of psychological games designed to uncover emotional and behavioral traits of the players."  It's quite an interesting read.  I bet it would be good for couples or groups looking for something different to do!  It's fun and at the same time, you get to know each other better - a peak at the psychological maze of those close to you.  Try this game called "The Ride of Your Life"

The Ride of Your Life

How do we bring thrills into our lives? Watching movies, traveling, and playing sports and games of chance.  Or maybe a trip to an amusement park, a world where thrills mingle with fantasies.  Let's take a trip back to that realm of childhood excitement and fun.

1. You enter the park gate, and a roller coaster looms before you with a line of people waiting in turn.  How long do you have to wait in line before getting to ride?

2. Your turn finally comes and now you're racing and plunging around the course.  What kinds of feelings does the speed bring out in you?

3. At the most exciting point in the course, the roller coaster dives into a pool of water and you're drenched by the spray. What do you shout or scream at this instant?

4. Next you decide to try the merry-go-round.  But during your ride, for some reason the horse you're riding breaks down and stops moving.  What do you say to the horse?

5. Your ride on the roller coaster was exciting, but it wasn't all that it could have been.  If you were going to design the perfect roller coaster, what would the course look like?  Draw a detailed picture of the course.

Key to The Ride of Your Life
(Do not proceed with this section unless you have already written your answers to the questions above.)

In psychological terms, rhythmical up-and-down motions represent sexual excitement.  So your responses to the five questions actually show your attitudes toward sex.

1. The time you spent waiting in line reveals how much time you spend, or would like your partner to spend, on foreplay.

2. Your feelings during the roller-coaster ride reveal how you feel while making love.

3. In Jungian symbolism, water represents the source of life.  Your words at the moment the roller coaster splashed into the pool show what you might say at the moment of sexual climax.  Let's hope you didn't say anything you'll end up regretting in the morning.

4. The horse, in psychosexual terms, is a symbol of the masculine principle.  Your words to your broken-down steed reflect what you might say to yourself or to your partner in situations where the man failed to rise to the occasion.
"It's all right, don't worry about it.  It's only a ride."  You have a truly gentle and forgiving nature.
"I can't believe this.  I want my money back!"  You said it, not me.
"Come on you stupid animal, giddyap!" Yikes!

5. Your plan for the ideal roller-coaster course shows your vision of the perfect sex life.
The ups and downs of a roller-coaster ride are an exact metaphor for the thrills and lulls of lovemaking.  Was it a long, slow ascent followed by a terrifying plunge? A series of acrobatic loop-the-loops and 360-degree rolls? Or maybe you drew a course where you spend the whole ride turned upsidedown and backward? Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. (^o-)/

You wanna know my answers? Here they are.

1. An hour
2. Thrill, excitement, weightlessness
3. woohoo!
4. ahhhh! come on!

Starstruck - Celebrity Meet and Greet

Oh wow! I met Philippine actor Cesar Montano at the mall today! He was so friendly. Not only did we talk - although I did most of the talking, he also allowed me to hug him while we had our pictures taken together. But wait! Just when I thought I couldn't be this lucky, he even gave me money! woohoo! Must be because he is running for governor in the coming May 2010 elections.

I know it's hard to believe. Therefore, to erase all doubts, I'm sharing the picture we took together. Then don't forget to continue reading this post to see the exact amount I got from him.

To be exact I was suppose to receive Php 5,032.98 which is the peso equivalent of $109.42 USD. They were so kind that they gave me Php 5033 instead. The lady that gave the money even said to "keep the change." (^o^)/

Well, this was really hard earned money because I waited 6 months to get it.! It's my second payment from Google! I was happy to know that I was still be able to reach the $100 dollar mark even though I was only able to post only 1 article per month, on the average, these past couple of months. It seems like once you've established your database of articles, the money will just keep coming in so long as you update your site once in a while. I guess this is the way to earn passive income and make money online.

The actor endorses Western Union - where all my Google payments go. (^o^)/ Anybody fooled by the first pic? Well, it's not a total waste of your time because the first 5 people to see me and say to me "I saw you with Cesar Montano." gets treated to dinner and a movie! That is if you can find me hehehe (^o^)/
